Composed of a small steel box with a blue alphanumeric display on its top, this machine counts down the seconds in each millennium. At midnight, December 31, 1999 it will display a quote from the Rubyat, load the number of seconds in the next 1,000 years, and begin again.

However, once every thousand years it will display the following message: "Ah! my Beloved, come fill the cup that clears today of past regrets and future fears. For tomorrow-- why tomorrow, I may be myself with yesterday's seven thousand years."
